Heat Pump & Ductless Mini Split in Berkeley, CA

Our customer wanted to take advantage of their new solar power and add air conditioning to their house as well as their in-law unit. The solution was a ducted high efficiency heat pump with multizone controls for the main house and a ductless mini-split, each with Merv 13 filtration.

The main house system was replaced with a multi-zoned Mitsubishi heat pump. To optimize air flow, custom designed ductwork was installed and AprilAir air handles were integrated to improve indoor air quality.

A ductless mini-split was installed for the in-law unit along with its own air handler and programmable thermostat.

The challenge was to route the outdoor line sets under the deck, a difficult task to be sure. The finished installation exceeded our customer’s expectations. They were thrilled with the outcome.
