Ducted Heat Pump Conversion in Berkeley, CA

Our customer wanted to switch her duplex to be more environmentally friendly and was concerned about air quality. The solution was a Mitsubishi ducted 2-zone heat pump with two ducted air handlers and 2 IQ Air Perfect 16 air filtration systems.

The 1946 duplex had 20-year-old wall furnaces in each side, neither of which were working efficiently. New ductwork had to be fabricated and installed to handle the new system.

An IQ Air Medical Grade Perfect 16 for each unit was integrated into the new ductwork to address the customer’s health concerns. The IQ Air filtration in the Perfect 16 filters ultrafine particles including viruses and bacteria.

Now, each side of the duplex has heating, air conditioning, an environmentally friendly system and the improved air quality she desired.
